I had run errands Friday with 2 snotty (literally) kids and was too exhausted when I got home to make the pizza I had been planning. Also did not have the wherewithall to wait an hour with kneading and rising for it to even be ready for the oven. So I took an emergency can (gasp!) of Southwest veggie soup from the cupboard and added stock and chicken to it. That with warm homemade bread was actually good, filling, and there were leftovers for lunches. You are helping me along!kyouellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02992252292707394134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12768753.post-48098339776808357912009-01-24T08:35:00.000-08:002009-01-24T08:35:00.000-08:00Something about leeks in soup that make everything...Something about leeks in soup that make everything alright ain't it?

And I love the addition of that much needed vegetable: BACON!MrOrphhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12069259633169478114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12768753.post-63121539500870466642009-01-24T06:43:00.000-08:002009-01-24T06:43:00.000-08:00big fam of roasted veg soups. people just don't re...big fam of roasted veg soups. people just don't realise what flavour you can get from a root veg if roasted prior to blitzing.
