Help me win a trip to Europe!

Oh my gah, I'm so excited! I won a regional pizza contest sponsored by Bolla Wines of Italy last month. It was my first entry into a real recipe competition, and I took first place! That is, first out of the 8 western states.

Now comes the big stuff, though. Bolla Wines is sending one grand prize winner to either Naples, Italy or Paris, France to tour Bolla's winery and attend the International Pizza Championship! Thirty percent (30%) of the judging will be based on internet voting. This is where I need your help.

I feel like such a fucking shill doing this, but seriously, people. A free trip to Europe? Please, please help me! I'll be your best friend! All you have to do is go to the Bolla Wines website (click the hotlink) and enter your birthdate (if you're under 21, you'll have to just cheer for me instead). Then select my pizza with a 4-pizza rating! You only have until October 15, so you should do it now before you forget. Again, bend me over and call me Sally, I feel like such a whore right now. But it's a free trip to Europe. A FREE TRIP TO EUROPE.

My pizza is chanterelle with arugula-pumpkin seed pesto and chevre. Tomorrow or this weekend I'll make it and post it so you can see how yummeh it is. Everyone who reads my blog knows this is a typical flavor profile for me (I'da used nettle pesto if it weren't so difficult for the average household to procure), and I'm staying true to the gizzame by entering this recipe. I'm so flattered to have been selected.

My pizza represents the Pacific Northwest perfectly. The only thing that could make it any more PNW is if there were salmon, huckleberries and hazelnuts on it. Which everyone knows is a fucking nasty pizza.

Okay, I'll stop now. I already need to go shower because I feel so dirty groveling like this, like a common coke whore, but I swear I will wisdom-rock your bonch so hard you'll forget who's on the penny if you vote for me.

Thank you! I love you!

You got my vote.

Although my favorite pizza involves my wife's tomato sauce and my pepperone. I can and I dry cure. I also do scratch crust.

Thanks, you guys! I'll mention you in my acceptance speech. Joking, it's really up to the judges, but hopefully the judges will be swayed by all the traffic I can bring to their website.

ntsc - it's a good thing you didn't enter the contest.

Mosby - bitch this is MY corner and you better get to steppin' before I cut you. (did that sound like something a ho would say?)

Brittany - I don't mind a little sunny weather up my ass, but you prolly just like mine 'cuz you're in Seattle. Pacific Northwest, baby! What WHAT?

I voted AND gave you mention in today's post. Just remember, when you get to Italy BEWARE of the complimentary Pantene.

Did I mention that I speak Italian, and am an excellent guide?

Dictum, Factum.
I voted for the both of us.

I've been making beer!

Rev. Danno said...

By the both of us I ment Christ and myself, I thought I was logged into the wedding blog account, and not my own. Just so you didn't think that I thought I was two people.

And by Christ I meant Christy, and by ment I meant meant.

ok, i'm off doing it right now. that's awesome. you're not a shill(????), you're just cheap, let's be honest. times are tough right now. i have to go to england twice a year to visit family (and my new grandson in london, bitches!), which, i'm not complaining about, but if i could win a free trip even there, I would. it's so damn expensive.

good for you. you deserve it.

oh and i was laughing so hard at your comment on peters latest post re: the millionare and pussy jokes. you go girl - get his money AND his business!!!!

Thanks, everyone! Now, hopefully the judges will see that I am clearly the one who deserves a trip to Europe.

Jeremy - You didn't include a link, so I can't see your pizza!
