Looks great. My man flew off this morning for a golf outing with the boys. He doesnt do the Valentines thing. Never meet a man I liked who did, come to think of it. But he shows his love(in that quiet German way) everyday. Enjoy your dinner and give us a report.

Is this for real??? Did he really make the reservations??? How did you get him to do that??? I don't know that my Dh even realized it was Valentine's Day...

I made pea soup. How romantic is that?

Oh man you guys. I am experiencing my first food hangover this morning. Well, I have a wine hangover to go with it. Dinner took almost 4 hours to eat. It was even better than it sounds, too. The secondi came in a heart-shaped box, all little "confections" of meat. It was divine.

The chef invited me to "come play" in the kitchen sometime after we got to chatting. Turns out, she always wanted to be a botanist. So I told her I'd let her come to work with me sometime too. :)

Heather, STFU on the hangover...you just had a kick-donkey Valentine's dinner, got to chat with the chef and get an offer to play in the kitchen with her...SCORE!

This attitude makes gluten-challenged folk seem like good company...did I say STFU? lol

Ahhh! I love this song, and I've never heard it before.
I LOVE COFFEE.

Miam Miam!
This sounds amazing. I am jealous. Hope this was the best meal you've ever had.

Oh, ok. I just read your comment. Guess it went well!

The dessert 'Mange a trois' means 'Eat for three'. Does that suggest a threesome? Now that's an original Valentine's day offering!
I'm glad you had fun. :-)
